A total fire ban has been declared across Banyule and all other parts of Victoria for today. No fires can be lit or be allowed to remain alight in the open air at any time on 23 February 2025.
Most of the water we consume is in maintenance of the sport grounds, recreation facilities and open spaces we provide. We have implemented a range of initiatives to constrain this water use.

Banyule WaterMarc is our $42 million aquatic and leisure centre. It includes a range of environmental and water sustainability measures, including water efficient toilets, showers and other fixtures.
There is a 200,000 litre rainwater tank used for toilet flushing and plant irrigation.
