Water management

We are a water-sensitive city, and work to conserve drinking water, and improve storm water quality and waterway health.

Saving water at facilities

Our open spaces and sporting facilities have been our thirstiest assets: new systems, surfaces and technologies have helped us reduce water consumption.

Integrated water management

We have established one of the largest stormwater harvesting networks in Melbourne. Find out our plans to protect our waterways and redirect stormwater for safe use on our open spaces.

Water Plan
