Tree removal permit application

Use this form to apply for a permit to prune or remove trees on your property.

Assessment

Applications for permits are all assessed and may include a site visit to determine an outcome. Processing times vary depending on the nature of the application.

Outcomes typically take:

• 10 business days after the date an application is submitted, for an individual tree if no other applications have been submitted within the last 12 months
• 4 to 6 weeks after the date an application is submitted for all other tree applications.

Before you start

To help you complete this form, there are details you need to know and documentation you must have, including:

• number of trees involved
• type of work associated with each tree
• a description of each tree
• species of each tree (if known)
• an explanation for why the work is needed
• a photograph of each tree
• plan of property
• status of trees being listed on our significant tree register
• a MasterCard or VISA to pay the application fee (fees vary from $110.25 to $220.50 based on the scope of works)
• an arborist report if 4 or more trees are involved, or if any tree is listed on our significant tree register or if the work is associated with a development.
