Under Banyule City Councils General Local Law No1 (2015), you need a permit for any new or altered vehicle crossing infrastructure.
This includes:
- Reinstatement
- repair
- removal
- installation
- placement of a temporary vehicle crossing
This permit is also required to assist with repairs to damaged infrastructure such as footpaths, laneways, kerb and channel or the roadway.
If VicRoads manages the road reserve you will be working in, then you must first apply for a Memorandum of Authorisation (MoA) from VicRoads.
An MoA is not required for works taking place on Local Council managed road reserve.
