New councillors announced

The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) has now announced the results for Banyule City Council in the 2024 local council elections.
Banyule is divided into nine wards, with each ward represented by a single councillor.
The following individuals have been elected to represent the community for the next four years.
- Mark Di Pasquale, Bakewell ward (re-elected)
- Elizabeth Nealy, Beale ward (re-elected, uncontested)
- Alida McKern, Chelsworth ward (re-elected)
- Peter Castaldo, Griffin ward (re-elected)
- Rick Garotti, Grimshaw ward (re-elected)
- Matt Wood, Hawdon ward
- Alicia Curry, Ibbott ward
- Mary O’Kane, Olympia ward
- Alison Champion, Sherbourne ward (re-elected)
On Monday 18 November, there will be a special Council meeting to elect the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
