Kinder re-opens in Ivanhoe East

We are excited to welcome children and families to the new Ivanhoe East Preschool for the first term of kinder this year. The Council-managed $3.6 million project was funded by the Victorian Government, as part of the Department of Education’s Building Blocks grant program.

Local families will enjoy a state-of-the-art early childhood facility that offers top quality education and care and is fully accessible.

The new building replaces the smaller kindergarten and Maternal Child Health centre formerly on the site. It has 2 classrooms, allowing us to offer more 3- and 4-year-old kinder programs.

We have used best-practice environmentally sustainable design and materials as we work towards reducing our environmental footprint.

Families in the area can now attend Maternal and Child Health services at Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub.
