Election period 2024

We will be in an election period from midday on 17 September until 6pm on 26 October. Local government elections are held in Victoria every 4 years and will decide 9 councillors to represent the Banyule community. Learn more about key dates and your voting requirements.
Our communications will look a bit different during this caretaker period. This is to make sure we remain impartial and comply with the Local Government Act 2020.
What we are doing differently
- We will not make any big decisions.
- We will not make any big announcements.
- Updates to this website will be limited.
- We will post less to social media.
What is different for you
- Comments on our social media accounts are closed.
- There are no Council projects for you to have your say on Shaping Banyule.
