Allison Beckwith reappointed as Banyule City Council CEO

Banyule Council CEO Allison Beckwith has been reappointed for a 5-year period commencing 23 December 2024. Council made the decision at its 26 February 2024 Council meeting. Ms Beckwith was first appointed as CEO in December 2019 after serving in a variety of roles at Banyule Council including as Director Community Programs.
Ms Beckwith has led the organisation through a particularly challenging time since 2020 and been central to the delivery of major projects like the Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub (opened in 2021) the Bellfield Community Hub (opened in 2022), the introduction of our award-winning including employment program and the ongoing delivery of the hundreds of Council services.
On the news, Ms Beckwith said, “I feel very privileged to continue as CEO of Banyule Council. I’ve spent many years with this organisation and love serving the community and trying to make Banyule a truly great place to live, work and visit.”
