Wander and wonder: creek walk and litter talk

Next date: Saturday, 22 March 2025 | 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM

2 people walking on a bush path

Join us on a discovery stroll along the Darebin Creek. We will explore how litter affects our creek’s ecosystem, wildlife, and water quality, and simple ways to work together to protect this vital natural resource. The best litter trap is your hand, but we will also show how we work together to keep our waterways beautiful and guide you in how you can also help make a difference.

We will hear from the parks team, water management team and waste education team about what they do, and the impacts they see on these irreplaceable spaces.

What to bring

The walk will take place on unpaved and uneven ground. Please bring sun protection, a water bottle and wear shoes you are comfortable walking in.
