Vegetable seedling propagation workshop

Next date: Thursday, 14 November 2024 | 06:00 PM to 07:30 PM

Person with disability engaging in seedling propagation.

The Caring Farms Co-op team, including The Veggie Empire, have been propagating food plants and farming in the local area for the past 15 years.

Join the team in their plant nursery and propagate some spring and summer veggies and herbs to take home for your patch. This is also a great opportunity to visit a fully operational urban farm.

November is a great time of year to plant all the seedlings you need to ensure a fabulous home harvest in summer and autumn.

The Veggie Empire is a team of horticulturists that provides vocational skills and employment opportunities in agriculture for individuals with mental disability. The farming duo (Scott and Josh) live with disability, and will host a tour of their urban farm.

Together, they have created a social enterprise that includes a market garden, food plant nursery and revegetation project.
