Join us on International Day of People with Disability as we launch a series of accessible tools developed for Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub.

About the tools

We are excited to announce the launch of ILCH's new Cérge website, designed to make visits more accessible and inclusive for everyone. It will empower people with additional needs the opportunity to inform customer service staff of any adjustments they may require enhancing their user experience.

The site features venue-specific details, including:

  • visual story and sensory guide
  • accessibility guide
  • keyword sign boards
  • communication boards.

Activities on the day

  • official launch of the Cérge website, includes morning tea
  • consultation session focused on health and wellbeing priorities
  • opportunity to contribute to a Voice of Community Mandala a fun, interactive craft activity facilitated by a local arts professional

Auslan interpreters will be available. If any additional adjustments are required, contact us prior to the event.

Parking is available at ILCH. Venue is a 5-minute walk from Ivanhoe Train Station. The 510 and 548 bus routes stop at the venue.

Accessibility

Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub has accessible parking, a drop-off zone at the front of the building, wheelchair access (everywhere except for the mezzanine), hearing loop system (only can be used with our internal PA systems), accessibility lifts, changing places and accessible hoist-equipped toilets.
