Purpose
Influenza, commonly known as the flu, is caused by a highly contagious virus that is spread by coughs and sneezes.
Every year, it causes illness in the community. When a high proportion of people in a group or geographic region are affected it is called an epidemic.
Local flu outbreaks can result in a significant financial losses and decreased productivity for workplaces. Getting vaccinated against the flu is the most effective way to protect yourself, your colleagues, your business, and the community.
What we offer
Children age 6 months to less than 5 years are eligible for a free flu vaccine as part of the National Immunisation Program.
Residents age over 5 to 65 years old are able to receive a flu vaccine at a cost of $25 per vaccine given.
