Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Victorian Seniors Festival Reimagined in 2021

Elder abuse is everyone’s business. Join us on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, 15 June, to stand together against the abuse, mistreatment and neglect of older people.

Banyule Mayor Tom Melican and Seniors Rights Victoria representative Gary Ferguson will give a speech on how to spot elder abuse and what to do if you are concerned about abuse occurring to anybody you know.

Everyone has the right to live in a warm, safe home.
