Artist-in-residence Lisa Moore

Immersed in this artist-in-residence space, Lisa is delving into ideas that have long captivated her imagination. As a photographer, Lisa is venturing into the realm of textiles, experimenting with paint, paper, and other materials that layer or collage into a final piece. This new artistic journey is a thrilling exploration of uncharted territories.

In this studio space, Lisa has set up many workstations to explore different processes and materials. There is:

• a printing station (lino and gel printing)
• a painting and drawing table
• a paper collage station
• a material collage station with hand sewing
• and a machine sewing area.

In the studio Lisa also has a 3D station with paper clay and clay set up. Kept busy exploring the endless options, Lisa is using the residency to work out how to pull the disparate pieces together to create something new.

About the artist

Lisa Moore has been creating for most of her life, primarily using photography as her medium. Lisa is a magpie gatherer of techniques and a bower bird collector of bits and pieces. Being a member of the Textile Art Community Art Space (TACAS) in Heidelberg West, has been a transformative experience. TACAS, an artist-run studio since 2015, is a vibrant collective of local talent.
The community has not only fed Lisa's curiosity but also expanded her knowledge of art-making processes and ways to express herself. Lisa is proud to be a part of this collaborative journey.
