Things you need to know

Running and walking is a healthy and fun way to keep fit, connect with others and enjoy the outdoors. However, due to its nature, it also carries elements of risk (for example, injuries due to uneven surfaces). It is the responsibility of all participants to conduct themselves in a safe manner and to help other participants if injured or in need of assistance.

All efforts will be made to make the course easy to follow. However, participants are responsible for knowing the layout of the event course. Maps will be made available on the event Instagram page and at the pre-event registration.

Remember that the Main Yarra Trail is a public shared path (including other walkers, runners and cyclists). To ensure everyone continues to enjoy the event, please keep left on the path and give way to other trail users.

To ensure the safety of all participants cut off times will be 2 hours after the start time for each event.

We recommend you leave your music devices at home and enjoy the trail and the camaraderie of those running or walking with you. If using a music device, please do not disturb other participants and ensure you are able to hear event volunteer instructions.

For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted in the run.
