Keynote speaker Rodney Croome AM

A champion of LGBTIQA+ rights in Australia, Rodney led the successful campaign to decriminalise homosexuality in Tasmania and was a founder and national director of Australian Marriage Equality. Panel speakers

Steph Amir was elected to Darebin Council in 2016, as Darebin’s first openly queer councillor. While on council she made headlines for her LGBTIQA+ advocacy and inclusion initiatives. Steph was also the program manager for Pathways to Politics, a program for aspiring women politicians. She now works in government and occasionally as a writer, publishing her debut poetry collection, Pieces That Fit last year.

Jan Farrell is a former Councillor at Greater Geelong City Council. She played an integral role in engaging councils across the nation in the campaign for marriage equality and was the Campaign Director for Fiona Patten's Reason party in the 2018 state election.
