Pond and trees

Is it time to do something for you? Come on a guided forest therapy walk this spring at Banyule Flats Reserve.

Inspired by the Japanese Public Health Practice of Shinrinyoku (also known as forest bathing), forest therapy is an evidence-based approach where the restorative power of nature is harnessed to heal many ailments of modern life.

Along with reported feelings of peacefulness and relaxation, research shows that forest therapy can improve sleep quality, boost the immune system and reduce blood pressure.

We give you permission to slow down on this mindful wander amongst the river red gums and billabongs. Your accredited guide will offer different ways for you to reconnect with your senses and immerse yourself in the present through the beautiful sights, sounds, smells and tastes of nature.
