EQUIP: Workshop for Multicultural Women

Merri-bek Council in partnership with Women For Election (WFE), and other councils forming the Northern Council Alliance are hosting a free 2-day workshop for multicultural women interested in running for the upcoming local government elections.

The Women for Election EQUIP: Candidate Training Program is a highly practical non-partisan workshop. It provides women with the key knowledge of how to campaign at all levels of government. You will learn about the tools and techniques to enable you to run for office, be the best candidate you can be, or assist another woman with her political campaign.

If you are a woman running for office, managing a campaign or wanting to understand more about Australia’s political process, then book your spot.

This free, in-person workshop includes catering. All you need to bring is your curiosity and a ‘get elected’ attitude. 

Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions.
