Seniors Festival

Explore, engage, evolve: come join the fun at our Seniors Festival this October 2024! This is a month long celebration, run with the statewide Victoria Seniors Festival to celebrate older adults.

Free transportation

As a Victorian Seniors Card holder, you can travel to and within Banyule, explore metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria with 8 days of free travel from Sunday 6 October to Sunday 13 October.

Remember to always carry your Seniors Myki and Victorian Seniors Card with you on public transport. Touch on and off as usual, you won’t be charged. On regional services that don’t use Myki, just show your Victorian Seniors Card to the conductor or bus driver.

Statewide events

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a major state-wide festival for seniors. For over 40 years, the festival has provided opportunities for senior Victorians to participate in a range of activities and events and connect with their community.

Major events will include Celebration day at fed Square, Melbourne Town Hall Dance, Aged Care Tour and the Country Concerts.
