Stallholder proposal

Common businesses at our major events include:

  • food, for example BBQs, meals and snacks
  • coffee and beverages
  • information stalls, for example community or cultural groups
  • market stalls, for example handcrafted or homegrown goods.

Application

We encourage all stallholders to apply, however there is no guarantee that you will be successful due to high interest and event site limitations. Previous involvement as a stallholder does not guarantee you a future spot.

All food vendor and stallholder applications are closed for our 2024-2025 festival season.

Assessment

We present a fresh festival each year, and each instance has limited space. We must select stallholders in a considered way.

Initially, your application will be reviewed for similarities or overlaps with event programming, including activities and stage performances, so there are no clashes.

If you would like to discuss your stall with the festival team, contact arts@banyule.vic.gov.au before submitting your application.

Weighted criteria

Applications are then assessed against:

  1. Suitability and presentation (50%): each event has its own theme to guide decisions on programming, activities and stallholders/food vendors.
  2. Location (20%): we are looking to support and promote stallholders/food vendors who operate within Banyule.
  3. Price, diversity and sustainability (30%): we are looking for stallholders/food vendors who provide cost effective and diverse products, while also demonstrating a positive sustainability focus on products and/or packaging.
  4. Social enterprise (bonus 10%)
