A total fire ban has been declared across Banyule and all other parts of Victoria for today. No fires can be lit or be allowed to remain alight in the open air at any time on 22 February 2025.
According to the 2016 Census, 23% of our residents were born overseas, and almost 22% of residents spoke a language other than English at home.
For those not born in Australia, the largest emerging groups came from China, India, Iran, Vietnam and Malaysia.
The most common languages spoken at home other than English are Italian, Greek, Mandarin, Cantonese and Arabic.
