Free community bus

Passengers board the Banyule Community Bus

We are excited to extend and expand our free and accessible community bus service, operated in partnership with Link Community & Transport social enterprise.

You have spoken, and we have listened. The current route will be divided into a North Loop and South Loop that operate independently.

Accessibility

The bus is equipped to accommodate residents with disabilities, and the driver will be able to assist passengers to safely get on and off the bus.

The bus can take 2 wheelchairs (at any one time) through a rear hoist. However, stop 10 on the North Loop is not wheelchair accessible.

Route map and timetable

The bus stops for the loops are in order (for example, Stop 1, Stop 2, Stop 3 ... Stop 14, then repeats from Stop 1), and makes 4 full circuits on each service day.

Look for the sign displayed on this page at each stop.

Example of the Banyule community bus stop sign that will be posted at all stops along the route, including text and a pictogram of a bus.
