Using BPAY to pay your rates

By using BPAY View®, you can receive, pay and store your rates notices in your online banking account. It can help you to pay on time, and eliminates paper notices.

Signing up for BPAY View

To apply to use BPAY View:

  1. Log into your online banking account
  2. Look for the BPAY View or View Bills
  3. Register to receive your Banyule City Council rates notice by entering:
    1. the Biller Code: 8755
    2. your BPAY View registration number(s): use your BPAY Reference number: as shown on the bottom of your rates notice
    3. your name: exactly as it appears in the address block on your notice.

You will then receive an email or SMS telling you if your registration has been approved.

If approved, your next Banyule City Council rates notice will be automatically sent to your online banking account.

Paying your next rates instalment

When your next instalment notice arrives, you will be notified by email or SMS (whichever method you chose at set up).

To pay the bill:

  1. log into your online banking account and go to BPAY View or View Bills
  2. select the unpaid rates notice to view the rates notice
  3. choose the payment option you would prefer to pay the bill.

When you use BPAY and/or BPAY View, the BPAY Scheme is paid fees relating to processing costs and BPAY Scheme membership. Contact your financial institution to see if it offers BPAY and/or BPAY View and to get the terms and conditions or Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
