Land information certificate request

You need a land information certificate if you are selling a property. It is supplied to prospective buyers with the Section 32 or contract of sale.

It provides information including:

  • valuation rates – general or special charges
  • arrears of money owing
  • orders and notices made under the Local Government Act
  • local law flood levels (if any).

The standard fee to receive a certificate is $29.70 (allow 5 days for processing). For same-day, urgent certificates, the fee is $114.70.

You can:

  • order certificates for multiple properties at the same time
  • choose to have them posted to you or emailed
  • select standard processing or urgent (additional fee applies).

How to order a certificate

Step 1.Search

Using our online self-service tool, search for the properties that you want to get a land certificate for. You can search by address or title information.

Once you have ticked the property you are after, you can accept and search again for another location or continue.

Step 2.Select

You will need to tell us if you want standard or urgent processing for each of the certificates you are ordering before you can continue to the review and confirm screen.

Standard processing is up to 5 business days, while urgent is next business day.

Step 3.Delivery

You can choose to have each of your certificates delivered by post or via email.

If you choose delivery by post, then you can enter one address for all certificates or have them sent to unique addresses (you will be presented with as many address options as the number of certificates you selected).

You must complete all street address fields to continue. Be sure to double check that you have entered your email correctly.

Step 4.Payment

Use a Visa or Mastercard to make payment. Remember, an urgent request does have an additional fee per certificate ordered.

Step 5.Receipt

Download and keep the receipt for your records.
