The Fire Danger Period for Banyule starts 25 November 2024. It means you cannot light a fire in the open air unless you have a permit or comply with certain requirements.
The purpose of this policy is to help us regulate the operation and management of our surveillance systems that have been (or which in the future may be) installed for use in public places. It enables us to fairly and reasonably perform its functions and exercise its powers in connection with public place surveillance.
The policy considers the Victorian Ombudsman’s guidelines for developing closed circuit television policies for Victorian public sector bodies. It is freely available to Council staff and the public. It includes detail of our audit, evaluation and complaint handling process, and is intended to act as a code of practice for our staff.
The policy is currently under review as of September 2022.
