Management structure

Our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of Banyule Council within the policies and plans set by the elected Council.

The CEO leads the executive management team that is made up of 4 directorates and the executive office.

Allison Beckwith, Chief Executive Officer

Banyule Council's CEO Allison Beckwith is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Banyule Council. She supports the Mayor and Councillors and ensures their decisions are implemented in a timely manner.

Darren Bennett, Director Assets and City Services

Darren Bennett has amassed broad experience in program and service delivery working in the public and private sectors in Australia and overseas, including more than 20 years in local government.

Marc Giglio, Director Corporate Services

With a career spanning more than 28 years in local government, Marc Giglio has extensive experience in audit and risk, community engagement, corporate strategy, stakeholder management, financial sustainability, operational efficiency and occupational health and safety.

Natasha Swan, Director City Development

Natasha Swan has worked in local government for more than 25 years, gaining extensive experience in strategy development, service delivery and implementing regulation.

Joseph Tabacco, Director Community Wellbeing

During a career of more than 25 years in local government Joseph Tabacco has worked at senior level in inner-metropolitan, outer-suburban and rural councils. Prior to joining Banyule, he was a director at Merri-bek City Council.
